Some musings after the May holiday

Overall, I've been feeling quite emo lately, coming from various aspects.
First, starting from March and April, my job search has repeatedly failed. A significant reason is that I've had a gap of almost a year, and I'm still not skilled enough; whenever I have an interview, it feels like a disaster. Friends around me say I'm too honest, but there's nothing I can do; I'm quite sincere. Another part of the reason is that the job market for system planners in the entire gaming industry is still quite poor. The vertical specialization in planning is very important, and everyone hopes to find a planner with expertise and rich experience. What I previously worked on was a 2D MMOARPG, and there are still too few opportunities in this type of game.
Since we're on this topic, please pay more attention to my previous company's project "Star Resonance," which is about to enter public testing! I really miss the company I spent three years at.
After the holiday, I might want to try switching to a PM role; with my development experience, it should still be possible.

Regarding my health, ever since I returned from surgery abroad at the end of June last year, I've mostly been recuperating, and it wasn't until after the Spring Festival this year that I almost fully recovered. This is also one reason for my GPA being low for so long. Finally, I can do some simple exercises to lose weight (after five years as a planner, I've gained 40 pounds). I hope I can really slim down this year; I have many little dresses I want to wear.

During the May Day holiday, I spent most of my time playing Baldur's Gate 3. I bought it at launch but never had the time to truly enjoy the game, which is considered the game of the year. Finally, I have time to experience it slowly; I've already progressed to Chapter 3 and have also been following the game's world-building background. I didn't expect DND to have a history of over 50 years. I also recommend a video by a UP sharing the world background: Dungeons and Dragons Explanation Series.
So what about Monster Hunter: World? Why am I not playing it? Good question! It's not that I don't want to play; it's just that there are too few updates. There's only one new monster, the Elder Dragon, and after a few fights, I'm done; it really doesn't take that much time.

Subtracting 10 hours is the time spent playing during the May Day holiday

Some moments of being a social butterfly: I went out to draw some gacha and ended up with a full box of sacrificed Fufu blind draws. My roommate asked if I wanted to buy one. I directly said to buy two, opened them on the spot, one was Fei Lun, and the other was Fufu, directly pulling the two most expensive ones from the set. Although I don't know why I wanted to buy two at that time, maybe it was just a connection of minds. Then my roommate also brought me the DQ collaboration Fufu staff~ so cute~( ̄▽ ̄)~*
Who is still watching Madoka Magica? It's me, so it's all good

In short, the May Day holiday passed quickly. Time really flies, and after the holiday, it's back to slowly looking for a job. Overall, I hope everything goes smoothly in 2025~ || If you're a newcomer! Don't come to be a game planner! Run away! ||
